Popular Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones’ ex-girlfriend Cashy just announced her return to the music scene and she is bringing back with her a few revelations as well.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Cashy revealed that she will release her new track on February 12, 2019; adding that she will also, with time, talk about why she “chose to leave a certain relationship,” reportedly with the Ngorihitmaker.
“I’ll talk about how and why I seemingly ‘stopped’ doing music, (and yaani I can really rap btw), I’ll discuss physical abuse, financial manipulation, emotional abuse, slander and threats on my life + wellbeing…etc,” wrote the now mother of one.

🕪 | AHEM.. | 🔊 . Happy 2019 Fam!! 😄 I would like to touch on a few topics, on this post and the next few coming up. Sensitive topics that a lot of you have sent me questions about over the past year. There have been rumours, guesses, random stories here and there, most of which are terribly untrue, and some just plain hilarious. I've seen some of them, still I remained generally untriggered, you know, because the Zen life chose me 😅 If you know Cashy, then you know that huwa sina haraka na life, I compete with absolutely no-one and I move at whichever pace feels alright with me, regardless. I took the time I needed to grow and free myself of a certain past that I can now openly share. I'll talk about how and why I seemingly 'stopped' doing music, (and yaani I can really rap btw 😂🙈), I'll be real about why I CHOSE TO LEAVE a certain relationship, I'll discuss physical abuse, financial manipulation, emotional abuse, slander and threats on my life + wellbeing…etc I'll talk about what I've seen as a woman in a certain place with certain people. Not because I have to, but because it is VERY IMPORTANT to do so, especially in the kind of society and world we live in now. Nitakuwa mtrue sana na hizo zote. I'll also talk about my legit wins!!🏋 si ati nini ama nini 😆 AND MY NEW MUSIC!!! I'm seriously excited, AND FREE!!! Through everything, I am eternally grateful to my family, and friends (old x new) for being beyond supportive. My son, Xo, for being my purpose..♡ And GOD, for granting me SUPERNATURAL GRACE, STRENGTH AND FAVOR, all in overflow ayeee! With that said, Allow me to reintroduce myself, NAITWA CASHY.💰💰💰💰 #12FEB2019 #ZEN #RRRAAAA
She also teased the AFRIMMA 2018 winner ‘Best Rap Act in Africa’ in her Instagram stories using a line from one of his songs.
“Ka una ngori, kuja na mbogi na theng,” raps Khaligraph in Ngori, whereas Cashy wrote, “Ati mlisema kama niko na ngori nikuje na?”followed by laughing emojis.
Cashy, real name Karimi Muriungi, grabbed the attention of Kenyans when she featured and delivered a strong verse on her then lover Khaligraph’s hit track ‘Micasa Sucasa’ released on November 7, 2016.
The couple then did a few media tours during which they declared their love for each other and pledged to release even more music together.
This, however, was not to be as – in mid 2018 – rumours started flying around that the sassy rapper was pregnant with someone else’s baby.
Khaligraph, during interviews, eluded that question even one time telling a local media station: “as of now I am not in a position to talk about that for different reasons I am not going to mention.”
Going by Cashy’s Thursday post, however, it would seem as if the relationship between the two really ended on a sour note.
How bad it was remains to be seen with time if Cashy – who has now rebranded to ‘Naitwa Cashy’ – keeps her promise to spill the beans.
