American wrestler-turned-actor The Rock, whose real name is Dwayne Johnson, has recognised Kenyan rapper STL, born Stella Mwangi, for her lyrical prowess in the song titled “No Games”.
The Rock used a part of STL’s song, “No Games”, in season four of his hit HBO series “Ballers”.
“Oh Lord, look what I got though. No Dwayne, but I rock though! Shout out to badass rapper @stellamwangi for the dope lyrics. Clearly, I am biased,” said The Rock.
STL responded to The Rock’s applause, saying: “Oh Lord, you are amazing, @therock.”
“Ballers” is a sports dramedy (comedy-drama) in which Johnson stars as Spencer Strasmore, “a retired NFL player who must navigate his new career of choice as the financial manager of other NFL players.”
In addition to Johnson, the series also stars Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine), John David Washington (BlacKkKlansman), Omar Miller (CSI: Miami), Troy Garity (Shooter), London Brown (The Hustle), and Arielle Kebbel (Fifty Shades Freed).
