Baraka FM presenter Rehema Gambo nearly delivered baby while she was live on air, according to a report on the station’s website.

Rehema went into labor when she was presenting her gospel show ShikaMore Sunday on June 26. However, she held on and concluded the show before checking in at a Mombasa hospital at noon for maternity services.

Her fans found it hard to believe that the bubbly presenter who was virtually with them around the time was a new mother – as she showed no signs of labor or pain while she was on air.

Rehema gave birth to her baby at 12:30pm on Sunday.

The radio host could not hide her joy as she broke the good news to her colleagues from her maternity bed.

“I am more than elated to be holding my bundle of joy, just three hours after doing my last show. I felt labour pains at 8am while still presenting my show, but decided to finish and then went straight to the hospital. God is good”, said a delighted Rehema.

Baraka FM’s Mega Breakfast host Billy Miya made fun of how things would have gone had Rehema delivered her baby in studio.

Rehema’s female colleagues on Friday, June 24 held her a surprise baby shower at Baraka FM’s Cannon Towers offices along Moi Avenue, Mombasa.

Rehema Gambo hosts Tulizo every weekday from 9pm to midnight and ShikaMore on Sundays.
