Jalang’o reveals details about his deal with Diamond Platnumz-owned WCB Wasafi

Comedian Phelix Odiwuor, popularly known as ‘Jalang’o,’ has become the official Kenya MC for Diamond Platnumz-owned label, WCB Wasafi.

Jalang’o, who also hosts a morning radio show on Hot 96 with fellow media personality Jeff Koinange, announced the news to his fans via his Instagram timeline.

Speaking to eDaily on phone, Jalang’o revealed that they (WCB Wasafi and himself) had come to the agreement after a series of successful working relationships in the country.

“I have hosted a number of Wasafi shows in the country, including Diamond Platnumz’s recent official album launch at the Kenya National Theatre that I hosted with Maina Kageni. We’ve had a good working relationship for a long time and that is what led to this,” said Heavy J Baba, as he is most commonly known among his friends.

The former Papa Shirandula actor also added that the deal meant he would be the official MC at any WCB Wasafi event in Kenya.

“If you’re booking Diamond Platnumz for a concert in Kenya, then know that you will be booking me as well. It is a package deal,” he said.

Jalang’o, who is currently one of the most sought after corporate MCs in the country, expressed excitement at the new deal posting, on his Instagram, “Always winning…..smile” besides a photo of himself and the Tanzanian heavy hitter.
