Tanzania’s multi-award-winning musician Diamond Platnumz has boldly stated he does not fear Zari Hassan’s ex-husband.
Sections of fans claimed Diamond chickened out when he learnt Ivan Ssemwanga was going to attend Zari’s All-White Party that was held in Club Guvnor in Kampala, Uganda on December 17. Diamond did not show up for the much publicised event.
With pride and authority, the 26-year-old has marshaled a strong defense against the allegations.
“I hear some people saying I fear him (Ivan). I am not frightened. Hii code chafu kabisa kutoka Tandale! I am not scared of anyone,” Diamond said in a recent Clouds FM interview.
The Nitampata Wapi star said he has bumped into Ivan several times. Unsurprisingly, the two did not greet one another.
“I have no issues with Ivan. I bumped into him when I was going for an MTV gala; in more than one instance we have met at events. I have never greeted him because there’s nothing connecting the two of us. I’d be lying to say I feel obliged to greet him.”
“When I bumped into him at the MTV gala, I had my crew and security around me; he was alone and he looked very humble,” said Diamond.
Ivan Ssemwanga and his cousin King Lawrence graced Zari’s All-White Party which was held in Uganda’s capital where they caused a quite a stir after blowing money which was in dollars to revelers.
Zari, however, did not have a chat, let alone give recognition to the two.
Her lover, Diamond Platnumz, however did not turn up at the function citing advice from the promoter of his Ugandan show.
He said the promoter wanted him to create suspense and make his show a special one by exclusively appearing for the slated performance only, and not showing up “all over the place”.
