I’m hurting after watching my wife engaging in unnatural sex – Amber Rutty’s husband

The husband of controversial Tanzanian socialite Amber Rutty, whose anal sex tape leaked online in October this year, has broken his silence over the embarrassing incident.

Rajabu Ally, who tied the knot with Amber Rutty in 2009 and split from her in 2012, says his ex-wife’s sex video has left him emotionally bruised.

Ally and Rutty are parents to two children aged 5 and 7.

“I remember I was at work the first time I watched that video. I was really shocked to watch my former wife and the mother of my children filmed engaging in unnatural sex with reckless abandon. Honestly, I was dumbfounded. I left work quietly; in that state of mind, I couldn’t continue with my duties. I wondered what had come over Nascat [Amber Rutty]. I am hurting; hurting because of my children. They had a good mother, [who went astray along the way],” Ally told Tanzania’s Global Publishers.

The former couple, who lived in Dar es Salaam, went separate ways in 2012, three years after they exchanged wedding vows, with Ally accusing Rutty of abandoning her family to engage in reckless city life.

Ally, a mason, claims Rutty was a good woman, who did not forget to pray, at least, every day.

Trouble began in 2012, when he enrolled Rutty for a hairdressing course.

“She started coming home late – as late as 10pm. And one day, when I returned home at 9pm and found my children had not eaten anything, I got really angry. It was that day that I told her I was going to divorce her, that I did,” said Ally.

Rutty, thereafter, left her matrimonial and moved in with another man, who had expressed interest in her.

Amber Rutty was arrested on October 26, after Dar es Salaam regional police boss, Paul Makonda, ordered the socialite to present herself to the police after a video showing her having anal sex with her lover, Said Mtopari, went viral.

The two were, on November 2, arraigned in Kisutu Resident Magistrate court to answer to charges of sharing sexually explicit videos on social media and engaging in unnatural sexual practice.

The two were given the option that they be released on Tsh15 million (Ksh671, 000) bond, but they failed to raise the amount, leading to their continued detention.

Rutty’s step-mother, Halima Ibrahim, was killed on October 28, two days after Rutty was arrested for engaging in unnatural sexual practice.

Halima was killed by unknown people at her home on Bomba-Mbili in Ruvuma.

The musician’s father, Abubakary Abdul, said Halima, 68, had gone outside the house for prayers, when a gang of three men ambushed and hit her on the head with a blunt object, killing her on the spot. The motive behind the killing remains unclear.

The attackers stole a phone and Tsh8, 000 (Ksh360) from Halima.

Abdul said Halima took care of Amber Rutty throughout her childhood after Rutty’s biological mother died in 1993.

Ruvuma police boss Gimmin Mushi confirmed the incident, saying investigations into Halima’s killing have been launched.
