‘I was speaking to Sheikh, not witch doctor,’ Hamisa Mobetto on witchcraft allegations

Tanzanian video vixen turned singer Hamisa Mobetto has denied claims of trying to bewitch Diamond Platnumz in order to make the ‘Jibebe’ hitmaker marry her.

Short audio clips of a woman, believed to be Hamisa Mobetto, speaking to a witch doctor circulated on social media early September.

In a previous interview with Wasafi TV, Diamond said he had confirmed the voice of the woman in the audio clips as that of the video vixen.

“If one can visit a witch doctor to perform voodoo on me so that she gains full control over me, it shows that she’s capable of eliminating my mother so that the houses and riches that I own remain in her custody,” said Diamond Platnumz in the September 5 interview.

Speaking to a local television station on Monday, Hamisa confirmed that it was indeed her voice but that she was not talking to a witch doctor, as earlier claimed, but a sheikh.

She said that her main aim was to ask the sheikh to make ‘dua’ [prayer] for her so that Diamond’s family would get along with her for the sake of their kid[Dylan].

The ‘Madam Hero’ singer further said people misinterpreted the whole thing and concluded that she was talking to a witch doctor without listening keenly to the recorded audio clips of her conversation.

”When you listen to the whole thing you will hear a woman who is trying to make the better life for her kid,” said Mobetto.
