I believed I was going to die, rapper MI opens up on struggles with health condition

Nigerian Hip hop artiste MI, whose real name is Jude Abaga, has documented his struggles with asthma.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, November 28, MI revealed that a recent asthma attack left him fearing for his life.

“Nobody describes the impact of asthma better than those who have asthma themselves. Last time, I had an attack, I was so scared and really believed I was going to die. Regular check-ups by a doctor will, however, save your life. It saved mine! What does asthma mean to me? Asthma makes me aware of every breath, I have to schedule my life around my lungs,” said MI on Twitter.

“Experts stress that the best way to control your child’s asthma is to use the right medication strategies at the right time, not to limit what your child does. Stay Safe and take your health seriously!”

Asthma is a condition in which a person’s airways become inflamed, narrow and swell and produce extra mucus, which makes it difficult to breathe.

Asthma can also cause coughing and wheezing.

Regular consultations with a doctor help in managing the condition.
