2015 BET Award winner Eddy Kenzo has boasted that he is no longer interested in the illustrious accolade, adding that he has graduated from that level, Howwe reports.
The Sitya Loss hit-maker reportedly shared the puffed up remarks with friends after he was left out of this years’ nominee list – a list that featured Tanzanian powerhouse, Diamond Platnumz.
“I am no longer BET Awards material; I have graduated from that level…am now aiming at Grammy Awards,” said Kenzo.
The Ugandan musician now says he is aiming at Grammy Awards.
The BET Awards happen annually, and this year Kenzo’s award was booted out by Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz who has been nominated for the category for Best International Act Africa representing East Africa.
The event’s gala will take place on June 26.
Well, at least Kenzo managed to scoop the award that no Ugandan had ever received, though the GoodLyf duo Radio and Weasel had won a nomination in the past.
Kenzo, whose official name is Edrisa Musuuza, and his bae Rema Namakula made headlines in the recent past, with many speculating that the duo will finally tie the knot.
