Drake and Eminem have come out to refute beef rumours in a way that only two world-class rappers could: through an electrifying stage performance.
During his Wednesday night performance in Detroit on 17th August, he called Eminem “the greatest rapper”.
“Make some noise for the greatest rapper to ever pick up the microphone. He goes by the name Eminem,” the Canadian born rapper said.
The 6-God rapper then bowed down before the two went on to perform their hit 2009 song, Forever.
Last month, social media was awash with rumours that the two were not in good terms.
The speculations were allegedly started by Hot 97 radio host Ebro Darden. He claimed that Drake said in an interview that he was ready to battle Eminem, whose real name Marshal Bruce Mathers.
However, Drake shot back saying that he said no such thing. He even went on to blast the radio station during his Summer Sixteen concert in New York City earlier this month.
Other sources say that the rift between the two artists started when Joe Budden, a rapper in Eminem’s Slaughterhouse hip-hop group, claimed Eminem was making a diss album about Drake.
