Police in Ingobor Village in Nakuru County have arrested a man who severed a woman’s head from the body after a brawl ensued between them on Tuesday, December 6.
According to Mogoon Sub-Location Assistant Chief Josiah Rono, the deceased – who was another man’s wife; and the suspect – who was working as the deceased’s houseboy, were involved in an illicit affair and had fallen out on the fateful day before the 23-year-old man brandished a panga and chopped off the 22-year-old woman’s head.
Mr Rono said he received a phone call from a member of Nyumba Kumi Security Initiative on Tuesday 6pm, informing him of the bloody incident.
The woman’s husband was away from home at the time of the incident.
When Chief Rono arrived at the crime scene, he found a bloody panga placed next to the deceased.
The administrator ordered the arrest of the suspect who fled after learning that neighbours were baying for his blood. He was, however, arrested and is currently being held at Kaptembwo Police Station.
The body of the woman – a mother of two – was taken to Nakuru County mortuary.
