Mbita Member of Parliament (MP) Millie Odhiambo has revealed that her lowest moment in the 11th Parliament was “when male MPs attempted to undress her” in December, 2014.
Speaking exclusively to eDaily, Odhiambo said she was not embarrassed by the incident as she is fearfully and wonderfully made.
“When Parliament went chaotic (in December, 2014), some male members tried to undress me in the house. They pulled up my dress; one pulled down my panty and tore it. It was both a low and a high. It was a high because even when they tried to undress me, coz they were trying to embarrass me, but I showed them: you know what? You can’t do that to me! I am a fearfully and wonderfully made Millie Odhiambo!
“So, you cannot embarrass me by showing my nakedness. And in any case, nakedness, from where I come from, is something that is not looked down upon. And in any event as I have told you, I am fearfully and wonderfully made – all the gadgets there are in good shape. So you cannot embarrass me. So, when they tried to undress me, I finished it for them. So that whatever they didn’t see, they could see it for themselves,” said Millie Odhiambo.
