Popular media personality, corporate M.C and comedian Jalang’o has come out to offer his two cents on Gospel musician Ringtone’s recent social media antics.
Ringtone has recently hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons, ranging from announcing that he “has no shame” and is tired of being a bachelor to criticizing fellow public figures.
But, according to Heavy J Baba – as Jalang’o is popularly referred to – the ‘Tenda wema’ singer should drop all his theatrics and just concentrate on music.
Jalang’o, in the monologue posted by Groove Networks in anticipation for the upcoming Groove Awards 2019, tells Ringtone, real name Alex Apoko, to “wachana na mambo mingi…wachana na hii sideshow mingi…just sing.”
(Loosely translated: “Let go of drama… let go of all these sideshows… just sing.)
Jalang’o’s remarks come following a video Ringtone had posted on social media saying he was actively looking for a wife.
Ringtone, in 2018, also expressed interest in Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan following her break-up from Tanzanian heavy hitter Diamond Platnumz.
When the socialite-cum-businesswoman came to Kenya, Ringtone made news when he showed up outside the Radio Africa offices where she was being interviewed with a Range Rover he claimed to have bought for her.
He has also, in recent times, elicited mixed feelings from Kenyans online with his thinly veiled attacks against singer Willy Paul whom, according to him, is “possessed” and needs saving.
