Kenyan gospel musician Ben Githae says temptations got the better of him, resulting in the singer siring twin children out of wedlock.
Speaking to EDAILY, Ben Githae said he had been in marriage for 18 years, and only “stepped out” in 2016 following voracious temptation.
The gospel artiste, 43, got the daughters with his 31-year-old lover, Margaret Wanjiru.
“I admit that I have two children out wedlock,” said Ben Githae after Ms Wanjiru went online three months ago to allege that the musician had neglected the twins.
“My wife discovered quite long ago that I had gotten children with another woman. The discovery caused a disagreement between me and her, but we have managed to settle our differences,” Ben Githae told EDAILY.
“We are human beings who are not immune to temptation. Yes, I slid, and I acknowledge,” said Mr Githae, adding: “And contrary to what Wanjiru says, I have constantly featured in the lives of our girls. I have always taken care of them.”
Ms Wanjiru, who has another child from a different relationship, says she met Mr Githae in 2011 and kick-started a relationship, which saw them getting the twin children in 2016.
