Flamboyant businessman Gor Semelang’o has started a new talent search outfit, eDaily has learnt.
The outfit called Black and White Foundation focuses on volunteer and internship programmes that caters for young talented individuals.
The foundation that kicked off this week has attracted attention from several international charity organisations.
“I am passionate about this foundation because I want to give back to the society. Black and White is a social organization that has a national appeal. I consider persons of all religions, ethnic communities, race and socio-economic background. Besides talent development, the volunteer movement is meant to build the spirit of nationhood,” Mr Semelang’o told eDaily.
“I wish to reward Kenyans who have exemplary talent through internship, linkages and exchange programmes to broaden their horizons,” added Mr Semelang’o.
A statement on the website Black and White Volunteers says it is a “legally registered social organization.”
