International Hip Hop star French Montana donated Ksh. 10, 286, 000 and helped raise awareness towards the benefit of Mama Hope Organization; a non-profit organization that supports global entrepreneurship to help end extreme poverty.
Montana, while shooting the video to his ‘Unforgettable’ smash hit featuring Swae Lee in Uganda, visited the Suubi Maternal Health Clinic; a maternity and healthcare center for mothers and babies.
The Moroccan-born rapper was reported to have been moved by the inadequate facilities and resources at the clinic and vowed to help them.
He then launched the #UnforgettableDanceChallenge, through which he challenged his fans to help raise awareness for the maternal clinic.
Among the celebrities that participated in the dance challenge included Swizz Beatz, P. Diddy, Drake and DJ Khaled.
Montana also donated $100, 000 (Ksh. 10, 286, 000) to Mama Hope Organization, which supports the Suuubi Maternal Health Clinic, and got fellow celebrity friends P. Diddy and The Weeknd to donate as well.
The funds will go towards building a birthing house, a prenatal clinic, as well as the acquisition of an ambulance.
The rapper uploaded a video of the project on Twitter on Sunday, terming it as “The biggest thing we did this year.”
