Four men were arraigned in Makadara Law Courts Tuesday to answer charges of sexual assault against a Nairobi-based female doctor.
The four: Abdi Kafar Ahmed, Mustafa Abdi Rizack, Abdallah Jama Suleiman and Harun Ali Elima allegedly penetrated the victim’s private parts using a metal rod at Muratina road in Eastleigh in July 14.
The suspects were also charged with robbery after they allegedly used force to acquire the doctor’s car valued at KSh980, 000. They, as a result, wounded her.
Court reports claim the four abducted the woman with intention of harming her. The prosecution further stated the doctor was attacked after closing her clinic situated in Muratina road, Eastleigh.
The prosecutor said the gang took control of the victim’s car and forced her into a back seat without saying a word.
The court heard that the suspects not only harassed the victim but also forced her to suck their private parts. Fearing for her life, the victim obliged.
One suspect allegedly took a metal rod and asked the other suspects to force it into her private parts, the report adds. Police said the woman screamed for help in vain.
She was driven off by the gang that had taken control of her car and she was left at Shauri Moyo area unconscious, having bled profusely.
In yet another count, the suspects were charged with being members of an organized criminal gang namely Superpower. Police arrested the four after they were identified.
The suspects denied the charges before chief magistrate Heston Nyaga and were remanded at Pangani police station.
Police have taken the woman’s dress for DNA testing to find out if samples match those of the suspects.
The DNA report will be tabled before magistrate Nyaga on August 5 when the case will be mentioned.
