After surprising Citizen Television anchor Jacque Maribe with a large birthday cake live on air, the Director of Digital Communication in Office of the President of Kenya, Dennis Itumbi, went an extra mile and composed a heartwarming birthday poem for her.
Jacque Maribe on Friday, December 18 celebrated her birthday to much affection from renowned personalities such as NTV’s Larry Madowo, social activist Boniface Mwangi, among others.
Mr Itumbi’s poem, obtained exclusively by Citizen Digital, describes the full of life Jacque as a cheerful woman whose “beauty shines through her smile”.
Below is a transcript of the poem:
“Sometimes when the sun rises
And its rays go through her window
And her beauty shines through her smile
Then there’s only one thing we can say
May Jacque Maribe live
Not only to experience deep kisses of love
From nature and man
But also to stand in rain
And within the sun rays
And walk towards days of freedom, long life
And may she laugh hard
May God keep her and bless her
Happy birthday Jacque!”
“You are a statement of possibilities, Jacque”
This is not the first time Dennis Itumbi is extending well wishes to Ms Maribe.
In October, 2015 the Digital Communications personality congratulated the golden voiced media personality for being named as Janet Mbugua’s replacement on prime time news, Monday Special.
Janet, who is still on maternity leave, took time off the screen to welcome her first born baby Ethan Huru Ndichu.
Praising Ms Maribe’s career journey, Itumbi said: “You are a statement of possibilities. Your brand may not be understood at times, but one thing is for sure, you have been patient, hardworking and focused. You fight for your space; it is never handed over to you.”
