Emotional Rose Muhando leaves fans in tears with new song – VIDEO

Famed Tanzanian Gospel singer Rose Muhando’s is back!

The songstress, hot off a well-received ‘Walionicheka’ hit featuring controversial Kenyan singer Ringtone, has dropped a new song whose video has elicited a lot of emotions from music fans and critics alike.

The concept of the song, titled Yesu Karibu Kwangu, was executed in a slavery-like manner and starts out with Rose Muhando chained, being mercilessly whipped.

She falls to the ground as the lashing persists but the relatively old copy of a Bible, presumably, remains in her hand as she cries out while looking up at the heavens.

“Baba, kikombe nimekinywea, hukumu nimeichukua, mateso nimeyapokea / Maumivu nimeyavumilia, kama ulivyosema mwenyewe, hakika nimekimbia / Ooh hallelujah!” she sings.

Yesu karibu kwangu is among at least four songs uploaded to Rose Muhando’s YouTube channel within the past month alone as she seeks to take back her spot as one of the region’s leading musical voices.

She previously released a song titled ‘Kenya ulindwe‘ in which she praised the country for “saving my life” and also expressed great admiration for President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The legendary Gospel songstress in September tapped controversial Kenyan musician Ringtone for a release dubbed ‘Walionicheka,’; a Swahili word which loosely translates to ’those who laughed at me’.

The two, in the song, seemingly hit out at critics they perceive made fun of them during their relatively low moments.

Rose Muhando made headlines in the recent past after a video showing controversial Neno Evangelism Center pastor James Ng’ang’a allegedly performing exorcism on her went viral.

She was afterwards subjected to heavy criticism online, before later reportedly being taken in by a friend and fellow Gospel musician who oversaw her recovery.
