Donnie McClurkin involved in horror crash, says Kenyan tour still on

Celebrated American gospel musician and preacher Donnie McClurkin has confirmed that his planned Kenyan tour is on despite surviving a horror car accident on Tuesday, December 12.

The award-winning artiste said his car veered off the road after he “passed out while driving”, resulting in the crash.

Taking to his official Facebook page, Mr McClurkin said: I was [involved] in a serious accident at 12:50am this morning [Tuesday, December 12]… I passed out while driving on the highway. Totaled the car… Hospitalised, going through a myriad of tests… But I’m alive!

“I lost consciousness driving… but two human angels followed my swerving car with their emergency blinkers onto stop traffic… drove behind me until my car crashed into the middle concrete island. I remember none of it except those two angels pulling me out of the passenger’s side of the crumbled Totaled car… Airbags deployed… crushed metal and Fiberglas!

“I am alive! Somewhat mangled, stitches on left thumb, sprained wrist, hurt knee, but I’m still here! God and two angels saved my life! I owe them…,” said Mr McClurkin.

The gospel singer will headline a concert sponsored by Royal Media Services at the Two Rivers Mall on Saturday, December 15. The event starts at 7pm.

The event will be streamed live on Kenya’s leading online content app Viusasa.

Mr McClurkin will arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 10:30am on Friday, December 14.
