Diamond Platnumz and Rayvanny have been fined Tsh9 million (Ksh406, 000) for flouting Tanzania’s arts board’s regulations on content production.
The singers were fined for producing sexually-explicit content in their new song called “Mwanza”, in which they tend to encourage homosexuality through the song’s lyrics.
“Mwanza” was banned from playing on radio and TV stations in the country.
Tanzania’s music board, BASATA, announced Tuesday that it had decided to punish the two artistes over the inappropriate content.
