The father of celebrated Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz has pleaded with his son to invite him to his wedding to Kenyan lover, Tanasha Oketch, which is penciled in for February 14, 2019.

Speaking to Tanzania’s Showbiz Xtra, Abdul Juma said he would be glad to attend the crooner’s wedding, despite not being informed about it thus far.

“No one has told me about my son’s wedding plans. Though, I have heard people in my neighbourhood claiming that there is such an arrangement. The most important thing, however, is that he fulfills his plan, which is to get married. May God bless his union. However, I would urge him to invite me to the wedding on the day he holds it. If he fails to do that, I would take his action as one meant to prove to me that he disrespects me; I would be hurt,” said Mr Juma.

Diamond Platnumz in an interview with Wasafi TV nearly two weeks ago revealed that he will exchange wedding vows with Ms Oketch on Valentine’s Day of 2019.

Diamond Platnumz and his father have a strained relationship, which goes back to when the award-winning artiste was 6 years old.

Diamond, in a past interview, said Mr Juma abandoned him and his mother, Sanura Kassim, when he [Diamond] was hardly a teenager.
