NTV senior investigative reporter Dennis Okari has revealed that his marriage to KTN news anchor Betty Kyallo is intact.
Speaking to Jambo FM presenter Maureen Massawe-Japanni on Friday, November 25, Dennis Okari refuted reports that Betty Kyallo left him, six months after their October, 2015 wedding.
“Nothing is happening (in my marriage). All those reports (about Betty and I separating), I read them online and just hear people speak,” Mr Okari said.
When Mrs Japanni pressed to know if Okari is still together with Betty, the NTV reporter nodded his head in affirmation.
In April this year, Betty Kyallo’s sister Mercy Kyallo confirmed that there were “deep family issues” that divided Okari’s family.
“Over the last couple of months my sister Betty has gone through her share of struggle, tears and sadness. A lot is being said and there is a lot of speculation. Fact is that there were deep family issues that divided us,” she wrote on social media.
“Betty, our family is supporting you 100 percent and our prayer is that you find true happiness and fulfillment,” she added.
“Isn’t this life as we know it? Just when you think you’ve got the map, you meet a stop sign which redirects, reorganises and challenges you afresh. It’s up to you to keep strong and recharge! We love and care for you honey so do and be the best you can be,” concluded Mercy’s post.
Betty Kyallo is yet to comment on the interview.
