Former socialite turned entrepreneur Corazon Kwamboka has debunked speculations by sections of society that she could have used her appealing body to get favorable grades in university.
Speaking on Citizen Television’s 10 Over 10 Show on Friday, November 25, Corazon said she has always been bright since childhood – and that the Second Class Upper Honours degree in Law she was awarded with by the University of Nairobi (UoN) in 2014 was a consequence of hard work.
“If I was using my body to get grades, then I think I would have done that since I was six,” said Corazon kwamboka.
After graduating from the UoN, Corazon Kwamboka joined the Kenya School of Law.
The ex-socialite, who is an alumnus of Lwak Girls High School, scored an A (plain) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education. A local company hired her straight from high school – when she was only 17.
Admitted to the bar
Corazon Kwamboka – alongside 122 other advocates – was on Monday, November 21, admitted to the bar by Chief Justice David Maraga at a special session of Supreme Court.
In a past interview, Corazon Kwamboka said she plans to pursue Entertainment Law, which is still a grey are in Kenya.
Born and brought up in Bondo Corazon – who rose to fame as a result of her curvy physique – said that her semi nude photos which made the rounds online in the past would not deter her from actively practicing law; adding that the photos were her way of promoting self-confidence and encouraging plus size women to embrace their bodies.
She said if needs be, she would continue to don quite revealing clothes because she is a fashion model who promotes clothing and accessories to fashion buyers.
She currently owns her own clothing line.
