Controversial city pastor predicted Kalonzo Musyoka’s ‘life was in danger’

A controversial pastor has revealed that he predicted Kalonzo Musyoka’s life was in danger only hours prior to the Wednesday morning incident at the Wiper Party leader’s Karen home where gunmen opened fire at the gate before hurling a non-lethal stun grenade into the compound and speeding off.

Kayole-based Pastor Godfrey Migwi took to social media after Odinga’s controversial ‘swearing in’ saying “my advice as an overseer who oversees and is called to serve all without fear or favour, please Kalonzo Musyoka your life may be in danger from now because of 2022 politics.”

Migwi advised Musyoka to leave the National Super Alliance (NASA) which he termed as a “resistant movement,” telling him he had a chance to lead the country if only “you pray and play your politics well.”

He also told the former Vice President not to mind the section of Kenya’s population fond of referring to him as a water melon or chameleon since it is his “melonising chameleonic politics habits” that have “saved this nation many times.”

“Your weakness is strength to this nation,” says Migwi.

In the post uploaded on his Facebook page boasting over 18, 400 likes, Migwi advises Musyoka to be wary of his alliance with the Raila Odinga-led ODM Party as they were grooming their own, Senator James Orengo and Ruaraka legislator Tom Kajwang, to take over the mantle of leadership from Odinga.

#Siasakali my advice as an overseer who oversee and called to serve all without fear or favour, please Hon Kalonzo…

Meanwhile, police have confirmed that a grenade attack occurred at the home of NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka on Wednesday at 1.15 a.m.

Addressing the media at Musyoka’s Karen residence, Police spokesperson Charles Owino said after visiting the scene of crime that they recovered a live bullet and a stun grenade which he said is non-lethal.

“Kalonzo called our emergency line saying his home was under attack. We mobilised our officers from Nairobi area and Hardy police station to visit the scene. The report we got is that two vehicles approached his home at around 1.15am. Fortunately, there were three guards from Cobra Security Company and their patrol car right outside his compound. Upon checking, the security officers recovered a pin for a grenade and a live bullet,” said Owino.

He added: “We have seen where the hand grenade exploded. Fortunately, it was a stun hand grenade which is not meant to harm but it just gives a loud bang and is meant to scare. This is different from the disintegrating hand grenade which normally has  pellets that can kill you.”

Owino further said they had obtained crucial leads from CCTV camera’s within the home, urging urged members of the public not to politicize the matter but allow police time to investigate the incident.
