Comedian Dr Ofweneke – born Sande Bush – was involved in a road accident around Pangani area in Nairobi Thursday night.
Dr Ofweneke was driving from Eastlands area after dropping his friend home.
His car careened across an intersection and up onto a pavement, damaging the car’s front bumper, engine and tyres.
“I attended Churchill Show recording yesterday (Thursday, November 24) evening. After the shoot, I decided to drop one of my boys who lives along Jogoo Road. So, when I was driving to my home I hit a pavement near Shell Petrol Station in Pangani, forcing my car to careen over. That happened as I tried to swerve a motorist who drove recklessly toward my lane. My tyres burst, my airbags popped out and my engine was damaged,” Dr Ofweneke told eDaily.
“I was stranded there until 7am this (Friday) morning, and I am supposed to go to hospital for check up. I am feeling unwell; the right side of my body isn’t fully fit. I was supposed to run errands today, but it won’t be possible,” said Dr Ofweneke.
eDaily wishes Dr Ofweneke a quick recovery.
