Daniel Ndambuki alias “Churchill” has reportedly signed a whopping KSh20 million deal with Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu, as the comedian plans to host ‘Churchill Show’ in the county.
Ms Ngilu wrote a message on her Facebook page thanking Churchill for taking the show to Kitui on June 2.
“Thank you Daniel “Churchill” Ndambuki for agreeing to bring the Churchill Show to Kitui County this June 2nd 2018 as we host the Kitui Sevens Rugby. We are excited to welcome you all,” posted the governor.
The deal, which was signed at the Kitui Agricultural Training Centre, comes ahead of the Kitui rugby sevens.
Daniel Ndambuki, on signing the deal, said that the collaboration was a good idea as it was a great opportunity to showcase what Kitui has to offer.
Social media reactions about the event were positive, with some people saying that this was a great opportunity to display Kitui. However, most people were not impressed about the deal because “it does not help people who are affected by hunger in Kitui county.”
The event is slated to happen on Saturday June 2 at a local hotel during the Kitui Rugby 7s.
