Entertainer DJ Nakumatt, whose real name is Paul Maina, succumbed to abdominal and liver complications last Saturday, family sources have told EDAILY.
DJ Nakumatt, also known as Man Kwenjo, died at his home in Mwihoko, Githurai shortly after visiting a hospital in the vicinity, where he had gone for medical check-up.
The comedian was told to proceed home and wait for a medical examination report after tests were conducted on him. The wait was to last two weeks.
Comedian Churchill took to Twitter to mourn the late humorist, saying “we will miss you dearly”.
DJ Nakumatt, who was born and raised in Nyeri County, sprung to fame in 2014, when videos of him blending different music using his mouth, went viral online.
The entertainer died aged 35.
Funeral plans are underway.
