A city man brought a busy Nairobi street to a standstill, when he celebrated the birthday of his partner, only identified as Sarah, in the grandest ways a Kenyan would.
The man bought his partner a classy Range Rover for her birthday on Thursday, July 13.
The car, which was decorated with red ribbons and balloons, snaked its way through Koinange Street, with the driver hooting, attracting attention to the spectacle.
Business owners and pedestrians, who were going about their businesses, had to stop and catch a glimpse of the not-so-common activity.
Another vehicle, a pick-up, which was ahead of the Range Rover, carried a large white cake, with the words “Happy Birthday Sarah” written on the cake.
When the convoy stopped, around Koinange Street, Sarah, who was dressed in an animal print dress, could be seen emerging from a nearby building and going straight away to her partner and hugged him passionately before walking toward the new car.
The man behind the Nairobi CBD birthday arrangement is yet to be identified.
