Waitress killed after gang storms entertainment joint

A middle-aged woman has been killed after an unknown number of armed robbers attacked revelers at a bar in Rangwe trading center in Homabay County.

The assailants allegedly stormed the bar at around midnight (Thursday), when it was raining.

The aggressors immediately ordered the music be turned off.

The attackers would, thereafter, make their way to the bar counter, where they attacked the now-deceased, who was a waitress at the bar.

The woman died on the spot after the assailants hacked her with a panga.

According to Genga Location chief, Andrew Okambo, the suspects proceeded to attack two male revelers, leaving them with serious injuries.

Chief Okambo revealed the gang, thereafter, stole money, a sound system and other valuable property from the bar counter before taking off.

The two injured men were rushed to Homa Bay County Teaching and Referral Hospital, where they are recuperating.

The woman’s body was moved to a mortuary in the same health facility.

Police are looking for the members of the gang, yet to be known.
