Expelled Student Organisation of Nairobi University (SONU) aspirant Mike Jacobs was arrested on Monday, May 9 over the burning of SONU offices on April 4.
Jacobs was remanded at Central Police Station after he was arrested in Nairobi Monday night.
A warrant of arrest had been issued against him and several other students by Kibera Law Courts.
He was arraigned at Kibera Law Courts (case no. Cr 142/30/2016 and Court file no. 1362/2016) on Tuesday, May 10.

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) however recalled the file asking for further investigations into the case.
Mike Jacobs was released on free bond.
He faces charges of arson and malicious damage of property during the protests of SONU elections.
The aspiring student leader has been accused of leading a group of students in protesting the win of SONU Chair Babu Owino, resulting in the destruction of property.
On April 22, Jacobs was expelled from the University of Nairobi for leading violent protests following disputed April 1 SONU elections.
