A 39-year-old man from Subukia in Nakuru County was on Sunday, May 5 allegedly caught raping his 19-year-old daughter in a thicket in Munanda Village.
The incident happened a few meters from the suspect’s house.
According to the teenager’s mother, shocked neighbours called and told her that her husband was caught sexually assaulting their daughter in a bush.
The victim, a Form Two student at a local secondary school, is said to have raised the alarm, prompting residents to respond to the distress call.
Neighbours allegedly nabbed the girl’s father naked as he was forcing himself on his daughter in the bush.
Police arrived at the scene and arrested the suspect.
According to the girl’s mother, the suspect forcefully dragged their daughter into the thicket, where he defiled her.
Upon interrogation, the victim said her father had been defiling, repeatedly, from the time she was in Class Eight.
Subukia OCPD Edward Imbwaga confirmed the incident, saying police have begun investigating the incident.
According to Mr Imbwaga, the victim was taken to Subukia Sub-County Hospital and was examined.,
“The medical test results will be used as evidence once the suspect is arraigned,” said Mr Imbwaga.
