Ugunja Member of Parliament (MP) James Opiyo Wandayi has urged the police to arrest and interrogate Gatundu South legislator Moses Kuria over the death of IEBC ICT manager Chris Msando.
Wandayi claims Kuria seems to have adequate information regarding the killing of Msando, given he (Kuria) was among the first people to spot Msando’s abandoned car at Roysambu in Nairobi.
Wandayi has given the police 48 hours to arrest the Gatundu South lawmaker or else he and other Siaya leaders would seek legal redress.
Wandayi argues Kuria should be charged with several offenses, including interference with the scene of crime and issuance of misleading information regarding the disappearance and death of Msando.
Wandayi made the remarks during his campaign rally in Ugunja Constituency, where he asked the government to engage international investigative agencies to establish the killers of Msando – and the motive behind his killing.
Wandayi vouches for the FBI and the Scotland Yard.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Ugenya MP David Ochieng, who asked the government to treat Msando’s death seriously.
Msando went missing on Friday, July 30 and his body was found moved to the City Mortuary on Monday. Msando’s body had earlier been discovered dumped in a thicket in Kikuyu Constituency on Saturday midmorning (August 1).
Postmortem results released Wednesday showed Msando was strangled.
