Tanzanian heavy-hitter Ali Kiba has revealed that he and his wife Amina Khalef will welcome their first child in 2019.
The musician, however, did not disclose the month or possible dates that their baby will be born.
That would be Kiba’s fifth child, given he has four other children from separate past relationships.
“We are expecting a baby early next year, God-willing,” Ali Kiba told Radio Jambo presenter Massawe Japanni on Monday, November 19.
Ali Kiba’s revelations effectively quash rumours, which surfaced in October this year that his wife had already given birth.
The rumours suggested that Ali Kiba was cheating on Ms Khalef, who according to the reports was a new mother then.
According to the reports, the “Aje” star, who tied the knot in April this year, was allegedly hitting on another woman, expressing his undying love for her.
The woman in question was video vixen Sasha Kassim, who alleged that the award-winning artiste had pitched camp in her phone, begging for a romantic relationship.
Tanzania’s “Risasi” newspaper proved that there was communication between Sasha and Ali Kiba, with Kiba, in some instances, sending romantic texts to the video vixen.
“I do not want a love affair with Ali Kiba; I don’t like him. He is the one, who has been pestering me for a relationship. And, for your information, it is not only Kiba who is begging for my love. Other top Tanzanian musicians are disturbing me. And, honestly, I don’t want them; I cannot go out with an entertainer from Tanzania, maybe from the US such as Chris Brown,” Sasha told “Risasi” newspaper.
It was alleged that Sasha was ready to let Ali Kiba’s wife know what was going on behind her back.
Reached for comment, Ali Kiba rubbished Sasha’s claims, saying: “I do not have the habit of chatting with people aimlessly.”
Ali Kiba told Massawe that he met Ms Khalef in 2016.
“I met my wife in Nairobi, when she was a student at USIU, and we started dating. She was my fan, and we got to know each other and finally, we ended up together,” he said.
