Kenyan singer Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee, has revealed that she will vie for President when she reaches age 60, denouncing the positions of Member of County Assembly, Member of Parliament, Senator and Governor as “too small” for her.
Speaking exclusively to eDaily, Akothee, who is in her early thirties, said currently, she is an entertainer and who can only twerk.
She was responding after a fake poster made the rounds on social media, showing that Akothee was going to vie for Migori Woman Representative on a Jubilee ticket.
“There is no way I will vie for a political seat soon; not today, not tomorrow. Perhaps when I am 60 I will think of running for President of Kenya. And it can only be the presidency! The Woman Rep, MP, Senator, Governor posts are too small for me. Right now, I just want to put on my bikinis, short dresses; I don’t have time to wear ties. Twerking is my area. Do I look like an MP in your area?”
