Following week weeks of speculation about the state of Betty Kyallo’s marriage to NTV investigative reporter Dennis Okari, the screen siren’s sister has spoken out.
Sharing a collage of her and Betty, Mercy Kyallo conceded that her sibling has had it rough over the past few months, alluding to “deep family issues”.
“Over the last couple of months my sister Betty has gone through her share of struggle, tears and sadness. A lot is being said and there is a lot of speculation, Fact is that there were deep family issues that divided us,” she wrote.
Mercy, who is a dead ringer of her gorgeous news-reading sibling, affirmed that Betty has the full support of her family.
“Betty, our family is supporting you 100% and our prayer is that you find true happiness and fulfillment,” she wrote.
Touching on the changing nature of life, Mercy said: “Isn’t this life as we know it? Just when you think you’ve got the map, you meet a stop sign which redirects, reorganises and challenges you afresh.”
That said, she encouraged her sister to be strong.
“It’s up to you to keep strong and recharge! We love and care for you honey so do and be the best you can be. C’est las vie,” she posted.
In October 2015, Betty Kyallo wedded her long-time love Dennis in a lavish, star-studded wedding.
The duo, who met when Betty was an intern at KTN where Dennis was working, had dated for six years.
They are blessed with a lovely little girl, Ivana.
