4 Chinese men arrested for beating up KeNHA official who asked them to redo poorly-built road

Four Chinese nationals were on Tuesday arrested on allegations that they assaulted a Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) inspector for ordering them to rectify shoddy job they had done on a road in Turkana County.

The suspects: Liu Jiang, Wang Kai, Zhao Liangbin and Li Shaoqing were found hiding in a house at Kilomita 54 area in Lochore-Emoit, Turkana South.

The four Chinese men allegedly beat up Rodgers Imasia after he [Imasia] asked them to build afresh a road they had earlier constructed using substandard materials.

The suspects, who are being detained at a Turkana police post, will be arraigned Wednesday afternoon to answer to assault charges.

Turkana Central OCPD David Mburukwa has confirmed the incident.
