2019 BET Awards Nominations: Cardi B leads, Nipsey Hussle gets ‘Best Male Hip Hop Artist’ nod

The list of the 2019 BET Awards Nominations is officially out and outspoken rapper Cardi B is – predictably – leading the pack.

The Bronx rapper, who has constantly released hit after for the past year, packed up 7 nominations, followed by Canadian star Drake with 5 nods and Beyonce, Travis Scott and J. Cole with 4 each.

Nipsey Hussle – who was on March 31, 2019 shot dead outside his South L.A. clothing store – was also nominated for ‘Best Male Hip-Hop Artist’, and will now go head-to-head with Scott Miller, J. Cole, 21 Savage and Drake.

Nigerian hitmakers Burna Boy and Mr. Eazi are set to battle it out for the ‘Best International Act’ Award that also features South African rapper AKA.
