Boniface Mwangi, Raila Junior in Twitter war over ‘racism’ claim

Photojournalist and renowned activist Boniface Mwangi is embroiled in a war of words on Twitter with NASA Principal Raila Odinga’s son Raila Odinga Junior.

The squabble began after Raila Junior reportedly claimed that his son had been racially discriminated against by the management of The Talisman Restaurant.

Boniface Mwangi, the Ukweli Party Leader, then jumped in saying he had contacted the Talisman Restaurant management who denied any case of racism at their premises.

According to Mwangi, Talisman’s version of events was that a 3-year-old boy had, on Sunday morning, gone to play at their premises with his own plastic toy car, shared it with another child (Raila Junior’s child) but wanted it back after a while and so asked his nanny to retrieve it from Raila Junior’s child.

“Raila Odinga Junior later went online to maliciously accuse Talisman of being racist and having toys for whites only. Talisman Restaurant does not have kid’s toys. They provide a playground and kids can bring their own toys,” reads Mwangi’s copy of Talisman’s version of events.

However, Raila Junior has faulted Mwangi’s account, saying that the toy indeed belonged to the Talisman Restaurant management. He further claims that their request to see the restaurant manager had been denied, and that they had not been contacted for their version of the story.

Raila Junior also questioned Mwangi’s impartiality on the story as he had not contacted him for his version on the subject before posting on Twitter.

Mwangi also threw a dig at Raila Junior’s parenting skills, telling him, “Teach your child they cant have everything when they want it. You missed a parenting moment right there and displayed entitlement.”

He further posted a photo of the toy in question and asked the prominent politician’s son to buy his child one.
