Government shuts down church after pastor promises ‘miracle money’

Controversial and self-styled pastor Shepherd Bushiri has come under fire after the Botswana government decided to  close down his Enlightened Christian Gathering Church (ECG) in Gaborone, which claims can process miracle money.

Making ‘miracle money’ rain like showers of blessings is not his only forte, the pastor has shocked many with his questioned ability to walk on air after sharing a video of himself with feet suspended on air. (Video below)

The self-proclaimed prophet of Malawi nationality is a step away from being featured in the Guinness Book of Records  for ‘healing’ people from HIV/AIDS and for being the second heaven sent man of God, after Jesus, to ‘resurrect’ people from the dead.

The government has now announced that it has closed the church for promising to give people money by making it “magically appear” which is against the laws of the country.

However, Botswana minister Edwin Batshu announced in April 2017 that Mr Bushiri who now lives in South Africa would need a visa to enter the country, despite Malawians not usually needing one, reports

Botswana has made the  church shutdown official after writing a letter informing management the “registration” of the church has been closed.
