Emilia Clarke is best known for playing Daenerys Targaryen on the hugely popular HBO series Game of Thrones.
Clarke proved her full commitment to the show’s eighth and final season, by dying her hair the platinum blonde hue of her famous Khaleesi character.
The actress, 30, unveiled her new bright blonde locks in a playful selfie on Instagram, accompanied by an excitable caption which thanked the show’s makeup team for finally making ‘this magical moment a reality.’
She wrote in disbelief: ‘AAAAHHHHHHH SHHHHIIIII******. I done did it!’Mother of dragons meet Emilia. Emilia meets the mother of dragons. If you squint just so you might never know.’
The star accompanied the snap with a lengthy caption, which thanked the Game of Thrones hair and make-up team for finally helping her take the plunge, after seven whole seasons on the show.
However, the London native could not contain her excitement at her new do in the snap, as she posed for the camera with her mouth open in a wide smile, while her hairdressers blow dried her newly lightened locks.
She then went on to thank the crew for not only providing her with a blonde hairpiece over the years but for now altering the color of her locks with ease. she then gave a shout- out to the masterminds behind her looks, the same stylists on the show responsible for crafting her character’s many ornate wigs.
In channeling her Game of Thrones character Daenerys Targaryen, the actress is now a real-life white-hot blonde—finding herself in good company in the season’s hottest hair hue.
Emilia, no doubt underwent the bold transformation ahead of production for Game of Thrones season eight is reportedly scheduled to begin in October, with the possibility the show won’t return until late 2018 or even early 2019.
