If you are one of those people who go to Twitter to troll or say bad things about your local politician, you may want to think twice about pulling those stunts on Boni Khalwale, Senator and gubernatorial aspirant for Kakamega.
Kenyans and netizens are still reeling from shock at the Senator’s response to an allegation posted on Twitter that he had nothing to show for his tenure as a Senator. In tweet that has since been deleted, the Twitter user alleged that the Senator had not performed in his county.
In a rejoinder that will forever remain etched in the minds of Kenyans on Twitter (KOT), the Senator asked the person whether he needed to impregnate his mother to prove that he was a performer.
Excuse me. Did u expect me to make ua mother pregnant for u to know that am a performer? https://t.co/YissD40Uh1

However, a section of Kenyans were appalled Khalwale’s comeback with one of them warning him that his sharp rebuke would repel voters but the unhinged Senator responded with “dawa ya moto ni moto.”
This political season has sure brought out some sides of political leaders that we had never known or seen before. Just a few days ago, an aspirant for Nyali parliamentary seat, Millicent Odhiambo, shocked the nation when she said that politics was not like a game of Arsenal Vs Manhattan. Unless one was made yesterday, there has never been a football team called Manhattan.
All the same, the gaffe of the year surely goes to Wavinya Ndeti, the Wiper candidate for Machakos governort. Wavinya, excited that she had been given the nod to run for the seat, happily declared that ‘Yaliyo ndwele si pite’ a remix of the the Swahili proverb ‘Yaliyopita si ndwele’ which means let bygones be bygones.
It is a good month and with only 39 days to the polls and our politicians have become ridiculous, we shudder to think what they will do come August!
