Zari heavily guarded at Ivan's burial service

Zari heavily guarded during ex-husband Ivan’s burial

Ivan Ssemwanga was on Tuesday, May 30, laid to rest and his burial was done under tight security. Men clad in black t-shirts and sunglasses were spread out though the funeral grounds.

The business mogul who is the ex-husband of wife of popular musician Diamond Platnumz passed on earlier this week after suffering a fatal stroke. His body arrived in Uganda on Sunday, May 28.

Zari and her three sons were clad in black and looked somber during the ceremony. However, all of them struggled to put brave faces despite the grief.

The casket reportedly cost millions of shillings. No luxury and expenses were spared in making him probably one of the flashiest graves of all time.

The strategic absence of Diamond during this ceremony has not gone unnoticed.

However, given the chaotic circumstances that have shrouded Ivan’s death, with Zari exchanging words with her former in-laws more than one, one would understand why Diamond would have wanted to stay away and let his wife mourn the father of her children in peace.

Still, people thronged Ivan’s rural home in Muyenga Village, Central Uganda for the funeral service, among them Uganda’s A-listers like Bebe Cool.

Zari has thanked everyone who showed her support throughout the entire ordeal.

Below are come pictures from the event.
