A unique wedding was witnessed on Saturday, November 19, after two deaf lovers tied the knot in Migori town.
Washington Omondi wedded the love of his life, Sarah Nyangi, in what many termed as a lavish and rare wedding. Such kinds of weddings are always associated with financially stable people who are able to foot the expenses that come with it.
Members of the public congregated at the Seventh Day Adventist church where the wedding took place.
According to Julius Muga, the elder in charge of people living with disability, the couple had demonstrated what majority have shied away from.
“For a very long time, people living with disability have been stigmatized and isolated from the public a matter which should be stopped completely,” added Muga.
